Sketches and Wireframing
Thinking about what are the thoughts users have about when deciding what to eat, I drafted out a flow and layout of the app with Axure RP 8. It contained four main tabs: home, community, saved, and profile. (which changed later on)
"What cuisine do you prefer? Is this place near our office? Is it worth the price? I should try this when I have more time!" These conversations guided me to understand users' needs

Style scape - What's my branding?
Initially, I followed a standard template for app design elements like typography and colors. It was suggested to have a simpler mindset and exploration beyond cookie-cutter templates. Inspired by Memphis, I created posters using vibrant colors and shapes that evoked hunger and excitement. These posters received positive feedback.

Ideation and Development
The following style scape was chosen for designing the detailed screens. The styling and vibe of it were incorporated into design elements like buttons, colours, fonts, form and layout. Visual hierarchy and flow of information processed and interaction were also prioritised.
After a round of internal review, Mathew complimented the adaption of style, just advising the sizing of buttons for easier clicking, font size, and placement of information to prevent cramping on pages. What followed were more experimentations and refinement.

Let's get to know what you prefer
What meal, what taste, and location are asked when a user opens the app. With this 3 simple questions, 5 types of food are recommended. If one would like to explore more, they can skip to the main page.

Users homepage are then filtered, catering to their answers, making results more relevant, increasing chances of a selection.

Top pick of the day - What's trending?
What are people into these days? This section provides a general option from categories like cuisines, food states, and portions of food. This further considers how one might not want to have a full meal but something to munch instead.

Location - Let's eat something delicious near
Lunch hours restrict the places one can go due to distances and travel time. This prevents one to explore more food in the vicinity that they might not know suits their preference. With location, easily detect results of desired food nearby.

Community - No more FOMO anymore
What are the people around you enjoying? Get to see their ratings, reviews and comments along with pictures. Post your own picture to share with others an amazing food that you've tried.

Profile - Personalized Inventory
Have an overview of the posts you've shared and save places that you've been wanting to try once you're free. View your past visits and online activity to track back a food you tried.

Edit your profile preferences and more under the settings tab. Enjoy an easier way to explore food, make meal decisions easily, and a checklists of food you would like to visit.
